Within the framework of their technological partnership, Doctor Web and RED SOFT have confirmed compatibility of their anti-virus software Dr.Web Desktop Security Suite and Dr.Web Server Security Suite with the RED OS 7.3 operating system. Test results are reflected in bilateral certificates.
Dr.Web anti-virus software is recommended for use in the RED OS operating system as a tool to detect computer programs or other computer information intended for unauthorized destruction, blocking, modification, copying of computer information or neutralization of information protection components, and to respond to detection of such programs.
RED OS is a Russian Linux family operating system for servers and workstations, which provides a universal environment for the use of application software. The product is certified by FSTEC of Russia (No. 4060 dated January 12, 2019), which confirms its compliance with information security requirements and allows its use in government information systems. RED OS is registered in the Unified Register of Russian Software and Databases (#3751).
"Maintaining compatibility of current product versions is one of the most important tasks in developing an ecosystem and, as a result, a competitive IT market in Russia. RED SOFT has been working with Doctor Web for many years, cooperating regularly on testing issues. This allows us to maintain a high level of security in the RED OS environment", Rustam Rustamov, Deputy RED SOFT CEO, commented.
"When developing Dr.Web anti-virus products, we pay special attention to their compatibility with domestic software. As a result, our protection tools can be used in such systems with extremely sensitive information, where the use of foreign software is impermissible. We are pleased that, together with RED SOFT, we have managed to take another step towards import substitution of software and open an attractive opportunity to use RED OS 7.3 together with a reliable anti-virus on workstations and servers", - Vasily Sevostyanov, Head of Technical Support for Sales of Doctor Web, notes.
