Within the framework of the regional project "Information Security (Stavropol Region)" in the Stavropol Region the Ministry of Industry and Communication a videoconference was held with representatives of the regional authorities and local authorities, as well as Russian developers of domestic software on the theme: "Software Import Substitution".
The main goal of the event was to share the experience of the employees of the regional and local authorities. Representatives of RED SOFT took part in the event as guest speakers.
"The issues of software import substitution are currently paid a lot of attention. As practice shows, we are moving from words to action. Federal authorities are already using domestic operating systems and application software packages in their operations. This work is also underway in our region. We carried out a pilot project on the implementation of domestic operating systems in the executive authorities of Stavropol Region. Extensive work has been done to test existing domestic solutions. As a result, domestic solutions are being implemented in the executive authorities of the region", - Dmitry Makarkin, Deputy Minister of Energy, Industry and Communications of the Stavropol Region, said.
RED SOFT specialists talked about the practice of transition of the regions to Russian operating systems and the specifics of creation and centralized management of infrastructure based on RED OS. At the end of the event, a block of answers to questions from government officials was held, and practical information about implementation of Russian software in the public sector was provided.
