On December 20, within the framework of the 6th Russian Internet Forum "Caucasus" RED SOFT and Dagestan State University signed an agreement on academic, scientific and technical cooperation.
To provide the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies with necessary software products RED SOFT will donate licenses for the RED OS operating system and Red Database DBMS. Thanks to this, future IT specialists will have an opportunity to study Russian software and by the time they graduate they will have the necessary skills to work in a state-owned or private Russian company that has implemented software import substitution.
RED OS is a Russian Linux family operating system for servers and workstations that provides a universal environment for the use of application software. The product is certified by FSTEC of Russia (No. 4060 dated January 12, 2019), which confirms its compliance with information security requirements and allows its use in government information systems. RED OS is registered in the Unified Register of Russian Software and Databases of the Ministry of Communications of Russia (#3751).
Red Database DBMS is a Russian open-source DBMS. The product is registered in the Unified Register of Russian Software and Databases under No. 1. Red Database DBMS is certified by the FSTEC of Russia as compatible with the government information systems up to, inclusive, the first security class, and personal data information systems up to, inclusive, the first security class.
