Russian software developer RED SOFT and United Engine Corporation (ODK, a member of Rostec State Corporation) reached an agreement on cooperation. The companies will work together to implement the program of import substitution of information technologies.
The solemn conclusion of the agreement took place today, June 1, at the conference CIPR (Digital Industry of Industrial Russia).
The cooperation implies developing of import-independent solutions for JSC ODK organizations and training of the company's employees in working with RED SOFT software.
"The RED OS operating system and RED Virtualization solution have already been installed on some workstations and servers in a number of subsidiaries of JSC ODK. Within the framework of the agreement, we will continue to work to strengthen the technological sovereignty of the corporation. The transfer of CII facilities to domestic software is now a key state-level task that we are particularly focused on as a software company", commented Rustam Rustamov, Deputy RED SOFT CEO.
"Given the harsh sanctions policy of the West, the issues of import substitution of software and information security have become even more urgent. The Russian IT market is already capable of offering worthy alternatives to foreign software. We are confident that cooperation between ODK and RED SOFT will be fruitful", said Vyacheslav Сhristolyubov, Director of Digital Transformation at ODK.
Currently, the RED OS operating system is used in more than 50 regions of the country: federal and regional government bodies, educational institutions, medical sector and other CII facilities - Rostelecom PJSC, Gazprom PJSC, Chernomorneftegas GUP RC, etc.
