The government of the Novgorod region and the Russian developer RED SOFT agreed on cooperation. From now on the parties will jointly implement information technology import substitution program aimed at socio-economic development of the region.
The signing of the agreement took place within the framework of a conference with participation of representatives of the regional government and IT-companies in Veliky Novgorod on July 21.
The signatories were Stanislav Shultsev, Deputy Chairman of the Novgorod regional government, and Rustam Rustamov, Deputy RED SOFT CEO. The document implies arrangements on the development of IT-industry in the region, joint participation in working groups and mutual exchange of information on the use of modern information and communication technologies.
"The Novgorod region takes active measures to accelerate the process of import substitution of information technologies in the region. We have already achieved some results in this direction, but there is still much to be done. I am sure that the experience and competences of the country's leading developers will help us to successfully achieve our goals and make the transition to the predominant use of Russian software", - Stanislav Shultsev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Novgorod Region, commented.
"RED SOFT already has experience in cooperating with the Novgorod Region. Earlier we transferred a number of medical organizations to the domestic operating system RED OS. I am sure we can provide qualitative information support in the transition to Russian software, taking into account regional specifics. Our competences will help to implement such an important program of import substitution in the current conditions and ensure technological sovereignty", - Rustam Rustamov, Deputy RED SOFT CEO, commented.
