Representatives of Russian software developer RED SOFT met with students of Lyceum №1 in Murom city within the framework of the all-Russian educational project in the sphere of information technologies "Digital Lesson". The organizer was the Department of Digital Development of the Vladimir Region.
Sergey Orlov, Director of the Department of Digital Development of the Vladimir region, Svetlana Boltunova, Director of the Department of Education of the Vladimir region, and representatives of education institutions of the region took part in the event.
Roman Simakov, director of the System Products Development Department of RED SOFT, and Denis Fomichev, account manager, spoke about the work in RED SOFT and the development of Russian IT products and answered schoolchildren's questions regarding programming languages, career growth and working in the Murom office of the company. In conclusion, RED SOFT and the Department of Education of the Vladimir region agreed to provide RED OS licenses for educational purposes.
"We were pleasantly surprised to learn that schoolchildren not only know verbally about the existence of the RED OS operating system, but also have worked with it. This is exactly what our company is striving for, speaking about import substitution in the country and introduction of domestic products. If we work with children starting at school, in the future they will be able to easily use domestic software without the need to adapt", Roman Simakov said.
"The Digital Lesson project clearly shows schoolchildren of the Vladimir region that information technologies and programming are much more accessible than it seems at first sight. "The Digital Lesson" introduces pupils to major companies for the development of domestic high-tech software for different areas. Leading IT companies help schoolchildren and their parents to enhance their digital skills through the lessons developed, which are available for study at any time", Sergey Orlov, director of the Department of Digital Development of the Vladimir region, shared his opinion.
"Meetings with Russian developers will help to guide schoolchildren when choosing a profession. Inspired by the example, many of them will go to study IT professions. We, in turn, give them this opportunity. For example, to learn different programming languages they do not have to travel far away. In the future they will be able to study in their hometown at the Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies of the Murom Institute, where RED SOFT is a partner", commented Arkady Zhiznyakov, director of the MiVLGU.
