Kostroma State University was granted the status of an official partner in the field of science, development of innovation activities of RED SOFT - Russian developer and vendor of IT solutions and services.
Students of the 10.03.01 program "Information security" will study and actively use the Russian operating system RED OS in the education process, including the development of information security systems.
RED OS is a Russian Linux family operating system for servers and workstations, that provides a universal environment for application software. The product is certified by the FSTEC of Russia (№4060 of 12.01.2019), that confirms its compliance with information security requirements and allows its use in government information systems. RED OS is registered in the Unified Register of Russian Software and Databases of the Ministry of Communications of Russia (No.3751).
"Active interaction with educational institutions is one of the RED SOFT priorities. Such cooperation can result in the training of highly professional and skilled staff, which is always in demand in the Russian IT market", - Rustam Rustamov, Deputy RED SOFT CEO, noted.
"Annually in the organization of internships for students RED SOFT offers positions. We plan to develop cooperation in the field of internships and in the implementing of projects within the framework of graduation qualifying activities and research works of students, because our educational programs have built-in cycles of administration of the RED OS operating system and all practical classes are as close to the actual production needs", - Oleg Schekochikhin, Head of the Department of Information Protection of KSU, added.
